Web design pricing in Toronto

What drives WordPress website cost in Toronto.

Quotes for a small business website in Toronto can run from under $2,000 to well over $20,000. The gap is mostly scope. Here is what moves the price, and what to budget for after launch. For how we design and build, see our WordPress web design service.

  • Pages, design depth and featuresA five-page site on a standard theme costs far less than a custom design with unlimited pages. Online stores, advanced functionality and integrations with other systems add the most build time, which is why they sit in the higher packages.
  • Theme-based versus fully customStarter and Growth are built on a standard or premium theme set up around your brand, which keeps cost and timelines down. A fully custom design and build, as in Enterprise, suits businesses that need a distinct look or functionality a theme cannot provide.
  • One-time build versus ongoing costsThe package price is a one-time project fee. Every website also has running costs: a domain (typically $15–$30 CAD a year in the market), hosting, any premium plugin licences, and maintenance for updates, backups and security. Hosting and maintenance are available from us as add-ons.
  • Content, images and readinessWho supplies the text and photos changes both price and timeline. Our packages include content upload, so having your copy and images ready keeps the project moving. If you need help with writing, tell us at the brief stage so it can be scoped.
  • How to compare web design quotesCheck the page count, who controls the domain and hosting, whether SEO setup and training are included, and what support follows launch. If Ontario accessibility rules (AODA) apply to your organisation, raise that at the start so it is scoped into the quote.
How a build runs

A clear build path,
from brief to launch.

Whichever WordPress web design package you choose, every project follows the same four stages. Your package sets how many pages and features move through them.

  1. 01
    Discovery

We learn your brand, goals, and the customers the site needs to convert.

  2. 02
    Design

A design built around your brand and your visitors’ journey.

  3. 03
    Build

A fast, SEO-ready WordPress build with Core Web Vitals in mind.

  4. 04
    Launch & support

A careful launch, then support and guidance for your team.

Ask about your project ↗

Typical market ranges in Toronto run from about $1,500 to $8,000 CAD for a theme-based small business site, and from roughly $8,000 to $25,000 or more for a custom agency build, with large online stores above that. Those are market ranges, not our rates. Our one-time packages are $1,500, $3,000 and from $5,000, depending on pages, design and features.

Design and build, responsive layout, essential plugins, content upload, and SEO basics, plus a training session so your team can manage the site. Growth adds a full blog setup and e-commerce integration, and Enterprise adds a fully custom design, a full store and integrations. Hosting, premium plugins, and ongoing maintenance are available as add-ons.

Hosting, premium plugins and ongoing maintenance are add-ons rather than part of the one-time fee, and your domain is renewed each year with your registrar. Budget for those running costs from the start. Anything beyond the package scope, such as extra pages or custom functionality, is scoped and priced in your proposal, so you can see the full cost before you agree to it.

Most projects take a few weeks to a couple of months, depending on the number of pages and the complexity of the design and features. A common cause of delay on any web project is waiting for content, so having your text, images and logins ready at the start is the simplest way to launch sooner.

Each package is a one-time project fee rather than a monthly charge. The payment schedule, including any deposit and milestone payments, is set out in your proposal before work starts, so you know exactly what is due and when. Enterprise pricing is indicative, and the final cost depends on the scope agreed in that proposal.

Every build is SEO-ready. Starter includes basic SEO setup for the homepage, Growth includes advanced SEO setup, and Enterprise adds advanced SEO and Core Web Vitals work. That is the foundation, not a campaign. Ongoing content, local SEO and authority-building are covered by our monthly SEO plans.

Yes. WordPress is open source and widely supported, so your site is not tied to a proprietary website builder. Every package includes training: a one-hour session with Starter, and training with documentation for Enterprise. Handover details such as logins and access are confirmed in your proposal.

Yes. We offer WordPress maintenance and support plans to keep your site fast, secure, and up to date after launch. They cover the routine work every WordPress site needs, such as updates, backups and security monitoring, so problems are caught before your customers notice them.

Absolutely. Sites are built to grow, so you can add pages, e-commerce, or new features as your business expands. A sensible path for a small Toronto business is to launch a focused Starter site first, then add a blog, a store or new service pages once the first version is bringing in enquiries.
